Young Carers SA has announced the appointment of Kylie Luciano as its new General Manager, following the departure of Brigid Koenig.

Kylie brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the human services sector, with expertise spanning youth services, disability, justice and health. She most recently held the role of Head of Government and Strategic Relations at Bedford Group, and has previously served as Director and Interim CEO of SCOSA, as well as Executive Director at SA Health. Kylie is also a board member of the community-based not-for-profit organisation Youth Options.

In her role as General Manager, Kylie will lead the continued development of programs and services supporting young carers in South Australia, while strengthening strategic partnerships to support the growth and long-term impact of Young Carers SA.

“Young carers contribute so much to their families and communities, and they deserve strong advocacy, meaningful support and genuine opportunities,” Kylie said. “I look forward to building partnerships across the sector that strengthen our impact and ensure young carers are supported now and into the future.”
