Thrive Physio: Empowering Young Carers Through Movement
- In January 2025 we kicked of the year with Thrive Physio, a tailored fitness journey for young carers. Beginning with a comprehensive assessment and report, Young Carers engaged in bi-weekly sessions led by certified physiotherapists. This is an evidence based program enhancing physical wellness, and boosting overall fitness in a safe, supportive environment. They were able to actively track their improvements, develop training skills and experience their growth over their commitment to the sessions.
Individual Mentoring Programs:
Partnering with the innovative RAISE mentoring program – built to nurture Growth and Confidence
- In partnership with Raise, Young Carers SA offers personalized mentoring for young carers aged 13–16. Participants are paired with trained mentors who share similar interests, engaging in weekly sessions over 10 or 17 weeks. The program focuses on building confidence, recognising when you need to ask for help, building resilience, and essential life skills, providing a safe, supportive space for personal development.
Career Consultancy: Building Futures for Young Carers
- Young Carers SA offers personalized career readiness support through five one-on-one sessions with a dedicated Career Consultant. Participants engage in goal setting, crafting resumes and cover letters, navigating job websites, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, and practicing interview techniques. By the end of the program, young carers are well-prepared and confident to pursue meaningful employment opportunities.

Confident Careers Workshop
- This workshop series is designed to empower young carers by providing them with essential skills for personal and professional development, including resume writing, interview techniques, and career exploration. Participants gain confidence in their abilities, paving the way for future educational and employment opportunities.
Mind Matters
- This program provides young carers with tools and techniques for managing stress and emotional challenges. Through mindfulness practices and group discussions, participants learn to navigate their thoughts and feelings, promoting overall mental health and well-being.
